Customs and traditions tend to differ across castes, cultures and nationalities. Where Hindu marriages are incomplete without seven rounds around the fire (pheras), Sikh marriages only demand four of them. If different states and religions in India itself adhere to different ways of tying the knot and saying ‘I do’, imagine the diversity prevailing around the world.
Well, to give you an insight as to how weddings take place in other nooks and corners of the globe, we at Bandbaajaa.com have 10 most interesting wedding traditions which are not only unique in their own way but also can give you a good dose of shock and laughter at the same time.
1. China Says Shoot Your Wife
Don’t hold your breath together as the tradition does not imply literal shooting. In China’s Yugur culture, the groom aims 3 arrows towards his bride. 2. Congo Says Dare Not Smile

The Congolian bride and groom are expected to stay serious and not smile during their wedding rituals. If neglected, the guests think that the couple does not have genuine strings attached.
3. Romania Says Take the Bride into Custody
Where on her wedding day, the bride should be on cloud nine, the Romanian culture demands her to be abducted and that too for ransom!
