Bridal makeup and hair are what Ibbani Creations specializes in. Having dolled up thousands of brides over a period of 10 years, the confidence brides have in their perfect strokes and on-fleek eyeliners are what makes their bridal makeup stand out.
In conversation with Bhavya from Ibbani Creations, we curated 5 tips every South Indian bride must follow for a flawless D-day look!
Tip 1 -
Traditional South Indian sarees are known for their Zari embroidery that ranges in different hues of gold. According to Ibbani Creations, to complement these tones, the eye makeup should have more of gold and bronze in it.
Tip 2 –
Bhavya from Ibbani says that her brides wish to look the best for the ritual of Muhurtham. This occasion demands makeup that is bold and to achieve the same, dramatic eyelashes and heavy eyebrows can do the deal!
Tip 3 –
Ibbani Creations never skip the use of flowers to deck up the brides’ hair! Even embellished brooches look and should be used for every bride up-do as no woman ever gets a chance to deck up so much other than her D-day. Bhavya suggests that you go to a flower decorator and get a bunch assembled based on the color of your saree. Don’t hesitate from using artificial flowers as well. As a personal suggestion, Bhavya says ‘Golden jasmine buds are a fadthese days.’
Tip 4 –
South Indian skin tones go well with colors but Ibbani Creations still tries to keep the look minimal and balanced. The key to a naturally flawless face is to either make the lips bold and bright or the eyes smoky and colorful. Doing both at the same time can give the face a very cluttered look.
Tip 5 –
Bhaya from Ibbani Creations says, hair accessories such as matha patti, maang tikka etc. are an inevitable part of a South Indian bridal look. Ditch the silver toned gems and opt for Kundan accessories as they reflect a beautiful color on the bride’s face!
