An Indian couple In Canada hosted a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony for their gay son Rishi Agarwal and his partner Daniel Langdon. The wedding was a grand affair that comprised all rituals of a Hindu wedding- Mehendi, Sangeet, and Pheras officiated by a priest attended by all friends and family.
The family has set up the perfect example of open-mindedly accepting their son's choice. Rishi Agarwal believes he is lucky enough to not only have his parents support after coming out of the closet but also enjoy a grand Indian style wedding.

Rishi says that even some of his friends were encouraged to come out to their families after seeing how warmly his parents accepted him and Daniel.
Homosexuality is still a taboo topic for traditional families but after various apprehensions and research on the gay community, they embraced their son and his partner.
