    Wear whatever you like; whether it is jeans or backless, so that they are in no doubt and there is no conflict later. No point posing and being a fraud.

    Absolutely agree with Shailendra Kumar. I think we think too much of these things and set the wrong examples. My husband's brother got married last September. The girl, whom he met through a matrimonial website and had instantly hit it off with and both had decided to get married after several dates, was meeting all of us for the first time in a restaurant. She chose to wear a black skin tight t-shirt and black skin tight jeans and was vocal and assertive. My Punjabi in-laws loved her for not being pretentious and liked her instantly. Over the next few months since the two got married, we have realised she is a little more sensitive than she initially portrayed. But we love her for having drawn the boundaries initially itself. But even if we had not loved her for that and been a less progressive family, she still should have done exactly that.
