In India, we have witnessed big fat weddings aplenty and we definitely can’t think of all the traditions that this country proudly offers in a single breath.
In April, Sachin Devand from Rajasthan and Shauna Mei from Inner Mongolia, China tied the knot in the most magical way possible at Samode Palace, Jaipur.
A spectacular representation of both the cultures, the couple decided to get married in a way that frames the way they live their life – larger than life.
This grand wedding was a five-day affair and it brewed with a theme of a music festival.
Although they didn’t forget to infuse their local traditions – the groom made a Bollywood style entry on a caparisoned elephant and the bride wore Chinese qipao on the big day.
‘’The main goal was to have fun. Indian weddings are so full of tradition, energy, and colours. We also combined elements of Chinese and Western culture to create a fun and open environment.’’ – Sachin shared his thoughts on his lavish wedding’s concept.
Typical Indian rituals were performed and celebrated by both the families in sheer joy.
If this isn’t the real life fairytale wedding, then we don’t know what is!
